Same people. Two places. Plenty of reasons to show up.

Our regular gathering right now is the 4th Sunday of every month from 6-8pm, and we alternate between Kennesaw and Canton for our meeting place. We share dinner, hang out, and do something each month. Sometimes it's ridiculous and fun. Sometimes its deeply spiritual and meaningful. Usually, it's a good mix of both.

We also have special events and activities during the year. Dates, costs (if any), locations, and other important details will always be shared ahead of time.

Transportation Guidelines

For our regular monthly gatherings, parents and caregivers are responsible for arranging transportation to and from The Lot. Since we alternate between Kennesaw and Canton, please be sure to check each event's location before heading out.

For special outings and road trips, we may arrange group transportation. When we do, families will receive information about departure and return times, transportation arrangements, and any required permission forms in advance.

Have a transportation challenge? Please reach out. We can't promise a ride, but we're happy to explore other options together.

pick-up Guidelines

We want everyone to get home safely!

Parents and caregivers are responsible for arranging pickup at the end of each gathering. Unless other arrangements have been made in advance, young people should be picked up by a parent, caregiver, or another adult authorized by their family.

If someone different will be picking up your young person, please let us know ahead of time.

Running Late? It happens. Just contact us as soon as possible so we know what's going on and can make sure your young person is supervised and proper safeguarding guidelines can be followed until you arrive.

If your young person needs to leave early or has permission to drive themselves, please communicate those arrangements with us in advance.

Permission f0rms

Before joining us for activities, we'll need a little paperwork. We promise to keep it as painless as possible.

Parents and caregivers will be asked to complete a permission form before their young person participates in The Lot. This confirms we have your permission for participation in activities and how to contact you if needed.

Some activities, especially off-site adventures and overnight trips, may require additional permission forms. We'll let you know what's needed ahead of time.

We will also make sure there are no surprises. We'll make sure you know which forms are due and when.

Medical forms

We want every youg person to be safe, comfortable, and able to participate fully at The Lot.

Before attending, we ask parents and caregivers to complete a brief medical information form. This helps us understand any allergies, medical needs, emergency medications, or accomodations that might be important during our gatherings.

Medical information will be handled confidentially and shared only with authorized individuals who need it to to care for your young person.

Wavers

Sometimes adventures require a little more paperwork!

Certain activities, especially off-site trips, recreational outings, and overnight events, may require an additional release waver or form.

When a waiver is needed, we'll provide it in advance, along with information about that activity, so you have time to review it, ask questions, and make an informed decision

No Surprises! We'll always let you know what's required before your young person participates.

Safeguarding practices

Belonging means being safe, too.

At The Lot Youth, we believe every young person deserves a place where they are welcomed, respected, and cared for.

We're committed to creating an environment where young people can build friendships, ask questions, try new things, and be themselves.

That means taking safety seriously. Our safeguarding practices address adult supervision, appropriate boundaries, emergency procedures, and how concerns are reported and handled.

We're developing a comprehensive safeguarding handbook to guide our volunteers and leaders, and we'll make our policies available to families once they're finalized .
